Living in Portland and being a photographer means you pretty much have to shoot the Japanese Gardens. It only took 6 years of living in the area before I visited and did so
. We went up there with our good friends Nick and Julie in October. It’s taken me this long to get around to editing them. Here are a couple takes on the gardens, including the famous maple tree.

PDX Symphony Fireworks
Went down to the dock near OMSI a few weeks ago to take some photos of the fireworks with my buddy Ray. Taking fireworks shots is a bit of luck as I think we both just fired away and hoped we got something good. Here’s a couple decent shots, along with a couple others from our time on the waterfront:
Portland Photo Adventures with Ray
While I have a couple thousand pictures from our trip to Italy and Greece to go through and edit, my buddy Ray and I set out for Portland last week to take some photos. The rule was that you had to post your “best” 5 photos. Here’s mine, with the rest getting uploaded to facebook just for fun.

Portland from Vista Bridge
A couple weekends back our friends the Kantas came up for a visit. After having some dinner downtown we headed around a few spots to find a good view of the city as the sun was setting. One of the few days the sun has been out all spring. From the Vista Bridge I was able to get a couple good shots with my telephoto lens. Our friend Nick has some too from this location. Hopefully he puts some up soon too
Portland and OHSU
Givorgy and I went into Portland a couple weeks ago and took the new Tram up to OHSU from the waterfront. It has a nice view of the city, and we were up there close to sunset. We’ll definitely have to go back after the sun sets to get some night shots of the city.
